Harper lands first Pac 10 offer

St. Mary's (Stockton, Calif.) wide receiver Josh Harper landed his first Pac 10 offer and is being recruited by most of the top schools out West.

Harper is a talented two-way player and one of the top receivers in the region. He earned first-team All-State underclass honors as a junior and had a strong showing at last year's NorCal Nike Camp winning WR MVP honors -- the only underclassmen to do so at the camp.

Nevada was the first to offer Harper and it was just joined Oregon earlier in the week.

"I was very excited and have a lot of interest in Oregon right now," Harper said. "I'm going to try and visit there May 2 for their spring game and I'm looking forward to seeing the campus and learning more about them. I'm also hearing a lot from Boise State, USC, Tennessee and Cal right now. I'm going to camp with Cal and USC and I may go to the Tennessee camp as well."
