does any one know if it is possible to take recordings from my dvr and put them on my computer? thanks.

Don't you need a slingbox to do that?

I use a item called a Dazzle DVC 170, and it has inputs that run from the dazzle device to the Video and Audio out on my DVR, I then use the software that comes with Dazzle to record the data that the dazzle is seeing. Then format it to .mp4 for ipod or whatever format i want.

I used it alot a few years ago and pretty much forgot about it until a few weeks ago, its a really cool device that ran me $80 at best buy

From what I have read, Dazzle is just for PC. Any advice for a Mac user?

Pinnacle makes a product for mac. I haven't used it but it looks like it will work just like the one for PC. it runs about $90
