Steven Clarke DB from............ FL..again

Post by jhopduck »

Showing him attention and we are in his top 3, but it doesn't sound like he has an offer, maybe our Florida contacts can share some opinions on this young man.
Per Biggins on ESPN:

One of the better prospects at his position at the Miami Nike Football Training Camp, defensive back Steven Clarke (Lauderdale Lakes, Fla./Boyd Anderson), has seen interest from college programs pick up since his sterling showing on March 29 in Coral Gables. Indiana, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Georgia and Oregon all have been showing the 5-9, 180-pounder attention. He said that he likes the Ducks, Rebels and Bulldogs the best at the moment and would currently prefer to play out of state. Look for more programs to start showing attention soon.

Clarke had seven pass break-ups a year ago and has been timed at below 4.4 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

Clarke is a phenomenal athlete. National caliber triple and long jumper and also is one of the best in the state at 200m. I saw him a few times last year and came away very impressed. But he is all of 5'9 which is a bit concerning but his leaping ability and speed kinda make up for it. Would be a great get in my opinion.

Aaron Gipson was only 5'8" or 5'9" and he was a pretty decent CB.

He was a pretty dang good his senior season..

Although I will give it to you, him, Binns, Woods, etc all got rocked for a good couple years. Walter and Palmer had career days on us. (Woods may have been later, but u get the idea)
