#1 Notre Dame @ USC

I am pulling for USC big time as I would love to hear Lou Holtz and Mike Golic looking for excuses but it will take a miracle. USC struggles against spread O's with mobile QB's which doesn't bode well in this game. Monte Kiffin will need his boys to play out of their minds today, force a few turnovers and give the offense a short field. I'm hopeful but wouldn't put a large wager on it. Either way....Fight On!

But USC has Marqise Lee. If Wittek can get it to him, the Domers won't be able to catch him.

I am not so sure that SC winning this game is that much of a longshot. They have so much talent elsewhere, the Domers could have their hands full.....I just don't have confidence that ND is a quality team, not #1 quality, anyway....Too many games with luck playing a factor in their victory....Luck of the Irish? Perhaps....We shall see how it pans out....

They have so much talent elsewhere, the Domers could have their hands full.....I just don't have confidence that ND is a quality team, not #1 quality, anyway....Too many games with luck playing a factor in their victory....Luck of the Irish? +100 ^^ This is how I feel. They sure have had a lot of luck, which is great BUT I think they are overrated. It's okay when people think you don't have a shot because that gives you more motivation to win. USC has nothing to lose & the Irish have everything to lose.

ND has a much better coach, a ton of senior leadership and a team mentality. USC has a lot of poorly coached athleticism and a backup QB that didn't look very good on a much smaller stage against UCLA. I still think it is a long shot.

You never know with USC though. If they keep this game close, they can win but if they get behind early, they will probably give up. I'm still hopeful because I want Lou Holtz to eat his words.

It's not like ND has some powerful offense where SC has to score over 40. If they score over 28 ND will have a hard time winning unless their D sets them up early and often.

ND is all that stands between all of us being subjected to another SEC on SEC title game. We aren't going to be getting in. I'll pass on that.
