Agreed, I wrote earlier in the post

"What is interesting is Miami had the #2 offense in the ACC and the year before Shannon fired the DC and so another mediocre year of underachieving he had to blame someone and since he fired the DC in 2007 he decided to blame the offense and canned Nix. Shannon won't be around much longer."

He is getting rid of people to try to save is job, I only see him around another season or two because I don't think Miami will do any better than 8-4, 7-5.

Interesting. He hasn't put a single back in the NFL so I don't know how well Bryce Brown would like to play in his offense. He does like to force feed the RB though, so he would most likely get plenty of carries in his system. It is tough to say how Brown would view this choice.

No, he came in the year after Jackson went pro. The majority of his time was with Bernard and now Jizz, I mean Quizz.

Word is that Miami coach Randy Shannon would like a veteran assistant with NFL experience to be his new offensive coordinator. The most viable candidate to fit that mold is former Cleveland Browns quarterback coach Rip Scherer. Former San Diego State coach Chuck Long also is thought to be involved. And keep an eye on Philadelphia Eagles offensive assistant Mark Whipple, a former head coach at Massachusetts - a Football Championship Subdivision (i.e., Division I-AA) school.

That was from a free article on rivals.

They are really all over the map. Most of the guys I know nothing about. Obviously we know a little about the OC from OS(EWE). I know that Sooner fans were pretty happy to get rid of Chuck Long when he left. I wonder how long they are going to drag this out? For that matter, how long are we going to drag out our own search?
