If, by chance, we don't get Brown, who should be the next crowned prince?? Who can really step in & take JJ's place?? Ying to LGB's Yang?
It sounds like James could easily fill that roll of being the ying to the yang. I think his shoulder is raising some doubt about if he will be full speed at the beginning of the season or not though. Brown would be instant offense.....
Come on Brown, don't make us wonder who our next back will be.

My source just said Chip is officially back!
It will be announced at Autzen press conference tomorrow afternoon!
Let me get this straight. I had some buddies over and me and mr CROWN ROYAL hung out for a bit so I am a little slow. Are we saying that Gaines COMMITTED?

You got that right!! Gaines is on board I repeat Gaines is on board!
What a day......... I want Boyd and Brown bad but I am telling you this is shaping up to be a great class. There isn't a lot of talking going around but we are returning a better crop for next year with less questions than what we had coming back this year. Boise State will be tough but with the games we have at home next year we may well have a chance at winning the Pac 10 and who knows from there!
Interesting article on Gaines and where he was less than a month ago. Has to make Duck fans smile considering how he was thinking at that point.
"I'm 90 to 100 percent sure I'm going to (Oklahoma)," said Gaines, who considers Ole Miss his No. 2 choice at this point. "They're losing three receivers and they've got an outstanding quarterback (Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford) who can throw the ball. It's like a family there and I like that.
He said he was going to commit after his original Oregon trip, which probably would have been Oklahoma, so maybe that storm was a blessing in disguise? GREAT GET BY THE DUCKS!
Scout and Rivals still have nothing on Gaines even in the forums. It's a good thing we locked Gaines down now, With Blake Emory switching his commit to TTech.
I'm not saying Mops' Gaines info is wrong, but not much out there corraborating this. A few well informed posters on eDuck (in chat) said that we look very good for Gaines, but they haven't said he's committed. These guys knew that Littlejohn committed early on the weekend, but aren't yet putting Gaines in that category. Just advising a little caution.

Don't forget Andre Crenshaw. I thought he did a great job when JJ got hurt. With the added depth of Alston and Harper, I think that we are doing good this year at rb. We just need to sure up the O & D line.
