I went to school at Western Oregon in Monmouth in the early 2000's. It could've just been rumor, but the total population of black people in Dallas at that time was 1. The guy who cut my hair also woke up to cross burning on his neighbor's lawn.

Not that far off, the latest census data shows Dallas with 30 blacks, up from 12 in 1990.

UCLA at #1 is so confusing to me. Westwood is generally a really nice area. And there is a school in the same city that is in the complete ghetto of LA o.0 Granted, if i got into the USC film school i would go there in a heartbeat. Wouldn't even care what kind of area it is in.

There really are big areas that are racist. Roseburg for one. Grants Pass also. Not saying everyone's racist or anything dumb like that, just that there is a real element of it in a lot of places. When you don't have any experiences with another race, it's easy to get a distorted picture. In our culture, that's not hard to imagine.
