Casy Matthews' cousin Jake top 2010 OL prospect

Post by jhopduck »

Two other schools with family connections are Pac 10 programs USC and Oregon. His father Bruce played at USC while his cousin Clay started at safety for the Trojans this year. Another cousin, Casey, plays for the Ducks. While Oregon has offered, Matthews says he has not heard much from USC.

He is getting love from all the big schools. Ok, Fl, Bama, Texas. You name it. He has 8 scholarship offers already. TOP O line prospect in Texas (arguably of course)

And a Top 250 (watch list) Player to boot!!

It would appear that we have a chance but an OL prospect in TX will be hard to get you'd think! Go work him Casey!

I am surprised that USC hasn't already locked him up.

Clay Mathews played safety for USC?

I thought he played DE/LB.

Probably will be hard to keep him out of Mack Brown's hands.

SC probably hasn't offered yet because they've got some family connections so there's no need to jump on him early. I've got to think Texas, Oklahoma and SC have the inside track

He did. He was the that dirty long haired monster that switched between OLB and DE. Love watching him. Whatta athletic family. Dad in NFL, two stud sons, one stud cousin...

Clay was also the dad's name if I am not mistaken. I think is who the question was referring to.

Actually i think this is bruce matthews kid, his older brother is a center and casey is a tackle while clay's kids are lb's which would be the exact same positions they played in the nfl. Good stock though 4 division one kids from two hall of fame players is pretty damn impressive.
