Owamagbe Odighizuwa told ESPN affiliate Web site WeAreSC.com, "I have three schools which I like. I'm still trying to work on my top five or top seven. Florida, USC and Stanford are at the top for me right now."
Odighizuwa has enjoyed phone conversations with Florida head coach Urban Meyer, loves USC's track record of sending players to the NFL and likes the academics at Stanford and the chance to help build up the program.
However, the two in-state schools aren't out of it just yet, "I wouldn't mind staying in-state," he said. "I like Oregon and Oregon State a lot, and they both have two completely different type of things I like about them."
I'd rather Owa picked any other school out there other than OS if he doesn't pick us.

Its a long way to go till we get him. However, a 10 win season, Will T. having a big year, and our defense as a whole doing well will work wonders.

10 win season is very possible if our offense doesnt miss a beat. With departure of Pflugrad and needing our receivers to step up and offensive line to gel will make this season a little harder than thought before spring ball. I said before that think Owa goes to USC and that is still my hunch. Its on the west caost and he undoubtedly wants to go pro. He also has had constant contact with them. Oregon does not seem to be pushing that hard too get him.

Re: Owa per ESPN
Don't recruits understand by now that it's not that USC "puts" players in the NFL, but it's that USC recruits players that are bound for the NFL anyway, regardless of where they play college ball? Since schools like USC can pick and choose which NFL-bound high school kid they want, they will also have the best track record of NFL draft day signees as a direct result of recruiting... not of the school they play at. Understanding that this is a constant, one could derive through logic that a player would sometimes choose a school for the opportunity to get more playing time.

I agree we have a long ways to go, that said, lets see how things are going once the season starts and if we are doing well.
I still say he leaves the West Coast IMO.

He says he's not interested in "bling", yet everything I'm hearing is that he's interested in "bling" but just doesn't realize it. Just goes to show you not to believe too much of what a very young man says. (ie. Bryce Brown, Tahj Boyd, etc.)
