AP and Coaches' Polls
Has anyone else noticed that these two most-often referenced polls have EXACTLY the same 25 teams (http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings) in them? 1-5, 8-10 and 15-25 in each poll actually have identical teams in each position, and 7-8 and 11-14 in each poll also have the same teams, just in slightly different positions. Don't recall ever seeing such uniformity to that level before in those two polls.

Honestly, when one poll comes out, wouldn't shock me if people use that as reference to make their decision in the next poll.

I think that probably happens a lot. But I've just never seen it to this level.

True, this year's is pretty dang identical. But to be fair, last year (if Ohio State was ranked), there would have been 24 out of 25 teams that would be in both top 25 rankings. The year before that, 25 out of 25 teams that were in both rankings. Th year before that 24 out of 25. The year before that 24 out of 25.Greenblood wrote:I think that probably happens a lot.
