Word on the street is that he will be suspended for two games.
Should be at least 4 in my opinion, AJ Green got 4 and Pryor got 5 for their similar offenses.

Meh, I agree. NCAA has to be more consistent with their rulings.
It's hard for me to root for a guy like Manziel now after all this drama. His character, and apparently even his family's, is pretty lowly.
Time get humbled.. Mariota, show him how it's done.

6 hours of interviews is silly but they (ncaa) interviewed a former Duck for over 4 hours in regards to his recruitment to USC as well as his car and came away with nothing.

Weird, 2 game suspension. Back just in time to play against Alabama. No way that ever came into thought.

Seeing how the NCAA and the School won't comment on ongoing investigations, its' purely rumor base on nothing more than the interview taking place that he'll get only 2 games. Given the amount of money involved, and the number of autographs, I would think he will get a pretty lengthy suspension if this all turns out to be true, especially since he is denying everything up to this point. And we all know how much the NCAA likes liars.

sanctions, death penalty, no bowl games, etc that did not pan out. The NCAA
is pretty good at keeping things under wraps. And we will not know til they decide.
If he did take the money then he should be suspended way more then 2 games.
Now if he were to come clean right from the beginning then maybe just 2 games,
but he didn't. God I'm glad he didn't stick to his commitment.

It's because they can't prove money changed hands

That's like saying, "you can't prove I'm drunk," to a cop. You might walk like it, talk like it, smell like it and blow like it, but if he didn't see you drink then what proof does he really have? How well would that work?Bud Lee wrote:It's because they can't prove money changed hands
But these aren't cops; they're little #%*#%#'s.
It wasn't for a charity; it was for a dealer. Who donates their time to a for-profit company?

Re: Possible Suspension For Manziel
If they can't prove he really did anything wrong, why suspend him at all? Are they trying to save face (and failing), but still profit off of him while he can't?

They could prove a minor violation of a different rule. That's the grounds for the half game.stewbertwilloughby wrote:If they can't prove he really did anything wrong, why suspend him at all? Are they trying to save face (and failing), but still profit off of him while he can't?

Their (I'm sure) highly trained investigators were able to uncover in their (thorough) investigation that JM had indeed signed his name 1000's of times. And that the signatures were on things. This is where they are really reaching: And those signed things were sold. For money. Whoa.
