All of the Beavs promotions and advertising smacks of intense desparation. Their watching schools like UofO, UW and others pass them by and they're trying to find ways to stay relevant and "hip to the streets". I equate it to the influx of commercials a few years back when old corny white folk would wear hip-hop clothing, speak urban and bust out rhymes while doing the robot...never grew comfortable with those.

I don't get the connection. Why would a Beaver need a chainsaw? :?:

Because they can't come up with something original and would like to copy the Timbers.

If they had anybody with half a brain cell, they would have moved away from the chainsaw/farmer stuff and embraced a focused Beaver campaign a long time ago. Nobody with any vision that even remotely asked the question "How do we get kids from urban settings to want to come to Oregon State". DUH............ Definitely not with a stupid chainsaw.

I really want to see how many people actually participated at the game. I bet you count them on three hands. I like 'flash moms' though USU!

Just saw this to a Beaver fan on the baseball team. He said it was terrible, and he's a HUGE homer.

Glad that the majority of humanity, even those generally in denial, can admit it with this.
