No more optimus-Klein. Love seeing Snyder's cupcake plan backfire on him.

Why is NDSU still playing in FCS?
4 consecutive years with a victory over an FBS team is pretty impressive.

Definitely time to consider making the jump, assuming they can find a conference to call home.

Too small to make a jump, they will go from being a big fish in a small pond to being a small fish in a very large pond with no shot at a National Title.

Huge win for the Bison. Bring them to FBS already.

But still teams move up every year, with no realistic shot of a championship. I could see them being the westernmost team in the MAC, if an opening came up.Bud Lee wrote:fpsduck wrote:squintsdd wrote:plus 2 straight FCS championshipsfpsduck wrote:Why is NDSU still playing in FCS?

North Dakota State University is in Fargo as previously mentioned. University of North Dakota (hockey fame - beats Minnesota) is in Grand Forks. Both cities are on the Red River. Bismarck is the capital and another of the populated cities is Minot. Williston is the center of oil fracking and is at the border of Montana. i think I read last night that the game's attendance was the largest ever at KSU stadium. Sure looked like a lot of yellow in the stands.DAT#6 wrote:Very impressed with the crowd they brought from what, Bismarck?
NDSU and UND are much too small to compete at FBS level. Their funding cannot match that of bigger schools. Over time I have wished Oregon would recruit in the Dakotas and Minnesota. Obviously, there are some bodacious ballers coming from there. I noticed the blocking last night, much akin to blocking by the Ducks. The fundamentals win games.
Go Bison and Go Ducks!

Re: NDSU @ Kansas St
I know, but I guess what I meant is that the upside in trying to move up is outweighed by the downside. Some schools are just better off where they are.DAT#6 wrote:But still teams move up every year, with no realistic shot of a championship. Wow what a shocker, and what an incredible win for NDSU.
Only caught the end of the game, but NDSU's QB has some drive.
