EWU is Div 1...

I think we're confusing terms. Yes, EWU is in fact "Div. 1"; but Div. I is divided into two categories -- FBS (the big boys) and FCS (the "little" boys). EWU is in the FCS. The point here is that an FCS team -- yes, a pretty good one -- just beat an FBS one.
Sorry. Pet peeve of mine. I get tired of people calling FCS division 2.

Sorry, FCS.

Only a matter of time before NDSU and EWU are playing at FBS. But still embarrassing to lose as a ranked team (at home) to a "FCS" team.

Getting back to the plight of the Beavers, it's probably pretty difficult to feel just how crushed so many of their fans must be. There was a real feeling, and not just among Beaver partisans, that they could have been 7-0 -- which quite possibly could have meant a Top 10 ranking or very close to it -- heading into their home game vs. Stanford in late October. From that standpoint, it's very much like their season is now lost.

Still, I think Riley will rally them, as he often seems to have before. Will be interesting to see if/how much they rebound with a number of what still appear to be very winnable games coming up on their schedule.

It will be interesting to see. They have a lot of questions to answer on defense.

Riley is a good guy, he is just an average coach though. I rarely agree with Canzano but he was right in his article yesterday, the fan base is willing to accept Riley and the fact he is mediocre.

Especially with a new logo, new uniforms, and a new chainsaw song... Seriously must suck after being so pumped.

I hope the Beavers do well for the rest of the season, I want a top 25 matchup for the civil war.

If the Super-Conferences come about it might be the reverse where teams start dropping to FCS.

Since I have "Ducks' SOS" on my mind so much, I want the Beavers to win the rest of their OOC games (i.e., Hawaii this week and at SDSU two weeks later) and then somehow (1) beat USC in Corvallis in a Nov. 1 (Friday night) tilt, and then (2) after a bye week go down to Tempe and beat ASU (who does not have a bye week the previous week) -- the two conference teams the Ducks don't play. Other than that, I really don't care that much how OSU does.
