That sucks! Something tells me that we won't just give up on this one, though. He still has a visit scheduled so it's possible he can still give us a fair look, even if Stoops discourages it. Either way, we're definitely no longer in the drivers seat for this one.

"he wanted it to be a shocker!" If this is what he said, THAT says a lot about him..... Adios !!jhopduck wrote: The reason he didn't tell Brandon or Matt this when they both talked to him the night before is he wanted it to be a shocker!

Re: Brennan Clay to the sooners
He's gonna hate it there. Hot, muggy, cold, windy, tornadoes, Ughh...
I hope he's into "cow tipping".
Also, people just think differently too. It was a culture shock for us and, in all fairness, it's a culture shock when someone from there comes to someplace like Eugene.
Honestly, I'll be shocked if he sticks to this commitment.
By the way, I can't stand the Sooners!!!

Sorry, Brennan... God probably didn't enter into that part of the decision!jhopduck wrote:Clay said he was tired of the recruiting process already. He also says "god led him to his decision" as well. The reason he didn't tell Brandon or Matt this when they both talked to him the night before is he wanted it to be a shocker!

I've seen Clay play, great get for Oklahoma but now we need to refocus. The San Diego back we should be going after is Devon Dunn. I have also seen him play, he seems to have fallen off the radar for no reason....he is fantastic!
Neal was recruiting him last year but no offer this year.

Like I said folks, this one isn't over. Clay could still be a Duck. As much as a shocker as this commit to OK is, I would be far less shocked if he backed out of his committment being this early PLUS he's never been to Norman.
You say we're no longer in the driver seat? I say that we still are.

I agree that there's still hope, but in the driver's seat? I think that when a kid says he has decided he wants to commit to play for a college, they are at the very least in the driver's seat.Destroyer77 wrote:Like I said folks, this one isn't over. Keep in mind, IT'S WAY EARLY in the process, and CALI is loaded at RB. This hurts, but it could be worse.

Re: Brennan Clay to the sooners
I'll take an early decision against signing with the Ducks over the fiasco that Bryce Brown created. Signing day is far enough away that they can focus on other RB's.
That said....I can't stand chOklahoma.
