Nunber 1, Issue An Athelete/QB offer for Garrett Grayson.

Post by GrandpaDuck »

Make it so.

Local kid. (Vancouver, WA) Fast enough to play SS, big and strong enough to play OLB . On a pace to throw for around 9000 career yards when he is done.

Duck and Husky coaches have visited, but not offered as I understand it. IMO, his athleticism would make him a low risk offer as he could probably find a spot to contribute. And if he can make an impact at QB, great, I am partial to muscular QBs for our run oriented spread who have the body to take and give a beating.

UW got a Portland kid. Us getting this Vancouver kid would give us the better of the tit-for-tat imho.

Yeah, I know it's a Chris Fetters blurb so you don't need to read it.

That size and speed while still in HS is impressive.

Sounds like he wants to play in the SEC though and apparently is getting the interest.

Yeah, I saw that about the SEC but he lists an interest in Oregon and in the sales business there is a saying, "First in and best dressed" gets you sales you might not otherwise get.

i've seen this kid play in person several times. as a quarterback, i've never been all that impressed by him. i'm not a great talent evaluator or anything, but just sharing my impressions.

also, his stats are inflated because his coach throws on every down. and that is not even an exaggeration either. They literally throw on every single down.

i mean, he's decent. but the ducks can and should do better. at least as far as grayson playing qb on the next level.

Behold! The powers of Message Board Coach are evident and in full view! lol

what the bleep is a "low risk offer"? "he could probably find"? well gee, i'm sold.

eeks.

GrandpaDuck, have you even seen the kid play?...and yes i do know there is actual video of him but come on, you don't just offer a kid because he's local and because UW got Lowe. UW only got Lowe because no one else that offered him wanted him at WR.

We all heard the same thing about Tim Peasron from Springfield last year, that he was too good of an athlete to pass up, and he only got an offer from PSU.

Ok.

In this thread, you've responded to perfectly reasonable comments by two other members in a clearly insulting way. I could understand if there was a disagreement that built up or something. But, you're starting with this attitude, out of the blue. Thus, you are flailing about.

You're welcome!

I think Hines was going along with the second one about Pearson so he only kinda attacked one post IMO

Historically, Oregon overlooks local kids because they think better are out their nationally. Thankfully, that's not the case with C.White.
