QB Recruiting Update

I am not sure if this is premium content or not.

Some quotes from a few of the Ducks top QB prospects!

Munchie Legaux

"I remember Dennis Dixon was a good player and they play in the Pac Ten. I talk to him (Chip Kelly) all the time. I call him every now and then. He tells me everything about Oregon and he wants to know when I will be able to come up." - Legaux on CK and Ducks

Robert Bolden

"I'm going to Oregon and Louisville later on this month, maybe in a few weeks, and some of the other schools, like Michigan State and Penn State, I'm hoping to get down and see as well. I'm still looking at everybody."

Most likely Bolden doesn't take an unofficial so he probably won't be out to visit until the fall.

Terrance Broadway

"I really like the program, the facilities and the academic standpoint and what they do on offense when they had Dennis Dixon and they ran the zone reads. I don't think they have had a mobile quarterback since Dixon. I'm really interested in them."

Good, these kids are smart to look at what Dixon did at Oregon and realize that they have a great chance of sucess there.

Broadway's quote that have not had as mobile quarterback.. in some aspects may be true. Comparing Dixon.. to Masoli is like comparing apples to oranges. One thing that made Dixon so dangerous was his incredible ability in the fakes.. more than once even faking the camera guys out... Masoli.. will simply as we saw in Oklahoma State game.. run over ya.I think Masoli.. may not be as mobile.. but Dixon could not run over ya but might have been a little quicker. Great news on all 3. I hope we can get one of them.

Uhhh to say Masoli isn't mobile, is like saying water isn't wet. He may not be in the same style as Dixon, but he is masterful in the zone read and for 3/4 of last season Masoli's mobility was about all we saw.

They're just completely the opposite body types, but both good athletes... I wish we would have run more straight up option football last year, my one knock on masoli was that he didnt pitch as much as i thought he should (get the ball in the playmakers hands) but then he pretty much won the stanford game with that one big play. Excited to see his progression this year.

Seems to me Masoli was starting to get the fakes down pretty well toward the end of the season... And remember that Dixon really didn't show that aspect of his game until his senior season.

If Jeremiah can give us two full seasons of mature shake-N-bake, this could be a fun ride!

That isnt really an update.. those quotes are from a month or so ago when they were first interviewed, and AJ just threw them all together into a SAY WHAT for the top 3 QB's Oregon is after...

Very valid point wounded. Dixon's junior season everybody wanted to roast Dixon for all the interceptions he threw and look what he did with senior season. I am excited to see how good Masoli can be. I hope we can still land any one of those 3 as it is still an area of need. Course I would like to land Owa too since he is an instate product and do not want him going to USC.
