Blazers beat Bobcats by 30, had 100 points after 3 quarters. They tied their franchise record of 21 3s for a game which they did vs 76ers earlier this season, who they play on Saturday. They became first team in NBA history to have 2 games in one season with 20 or more 3's in a game. Wesley was 5-6 on his 3s and Damien 6-6.

They're out there.. Patty Mills, Darren Collison, Aaron Brooks, Nate Robinson, Shaun Livingston are some examples. Obviously there are a ton of guys on rookie contracts.

Mo has had a rough start.. I'm hopeful he can get closer to his career average of play before the playoffs.. but I look forward to CJM though. I was pretty high on him during the draft process. His size could give an immediate upgrade on the defensive end.

My guess would be "recent history" or "lack of playoff experience."
My guess would be probability of injury. Playing your starters for 40 minutes a night is going to catch up with them.

i cant' think of a single team in the top 8 of the western conference i think we match up with particularly well.

we look a LOT like last year's nuggets, who got a 3 seed and couldn't cut it against golden state. we look regular season good, but i don't like how we match up in a playoff atmosphere against any of the top 8 in the western conference right now.

Not exactly a bold prediction based on recent history.

I would pick them to lose there first round matchup also. Kobe Bryant said he's flattered that fans have him on track to start in the NBA All-Star Game Feb. 16 in New Orleans, but isn't sure he will be able to return in time from a fractured left tibial plateau to be able to "put my stamp" on the game.

Instead, Bryant thinks fans should vote for some of the younger players in the league, like Portland's Damian Lillard, who are having breakout seasons.

"I really enjoy watching what the younger guys are doing and how they're performing

Bad Matchups:
Thunder- Durant is just ridiculous
Suns- Dribble penetration of Dragic and Bledsoe destroys our defense
Clippers - CP3 will do anything to prove he's better than Lillard

Good matchups:
Dallas- Not as talented as the Blazers overall
Spurs - Similar teams but Blazers are younger and probably better outside shooting
Warriors- LMA destroys David Lee and Lillard balances out Curry

Even: Rockets - Depends if Harden is getting the whistle and Dwight actually cares

Just start feeding Dwight candy bars and he will start to lose the feelings in his hands again...

Outside of spurs, thunder, and maybe clippers if completely healthy.. Everyone else has major flaws. If pdx is healthy then I'd take them over the rest out west.

Bad lost tonight vs Kings, blazers looked like they had just played last night, couldn't get many loose balls. Damien with a career high 41 points, 27 I think in the fourth quarter, most by a blazer in a quarter.

Back to back bad losses imo. Hopefully we bounce back. Better sweep this 3 game homestand, because we got a tough road stretch after that.

see, when I look at portland I see a team that cant do much outside of the jump shot. no interior game whatsoever, minimal transitional game, mediocre defense at best/ horrific at times. i don't think we can really say who they match up well with, to be honest. we match up great with everyone when all the guys are shooting well, we lose to the dregs of the eastern conference when we aren't.
