Arguably one of the best RBs in the country.

Probably Oregon's #1 RB target, and he is a bruiser. Going to battle Stanford on this one, his mom really is leaning that way for him. Will likely visit though.

When USC offers a scholarship to a California native, it's pretty rare that the Trojans don't make the kid's top three, but that's exactly what happened with Sporting News Top 100 running back Malcolm Jones.

The Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.) player told SN that UCLA, Stanford and California top his list. The Trojans, Notre Dame, Arizona, Oklahoma and Oregon are just some of the schools on the outside looking in.

"Academics are real important to me and my family," Jones (6-1/210) told SN. "My dad graduated from Harvard, so you can tell it's important to us. I really liked the academics of those three schools, number one."

"I want to help build a dynasty at one of those schools," Jones told SN. "Both Stanford and UCLA will be really good in the next couple of years, and Cal is a really good team. It'd be great to play for them ... It was a little hard (cutting USC from the list). SC is an amazing program. If you get a scholarship from them, then you know you're really good, but I just didn't know if I was a good fit for them."

Well, that tears it! The sky is falling! ;)
