Dior Mathis and Father To Visit Eugene Friday - Per educk
First day of practice and a potential recruit visiting with his father. Not sure if Dior will get all the attention he typically might being his visit is on the first day of practice (team and coache's focus will be on the new season/players...etc) But will get an eye-full of the real deal by just being there and watching.

We've known this for 3 weeks now.
Hope we can lock it up.

This was an unofficial visit right?
From what I read the staff has made a good impression already, and I am thinking this is a good opportunity for dad and son to check out facilties and familiarize themselves with the campus.
Mom needs to come out for an official, regardless of what she has said in print she has got to feel comfortable with a "Duck" decision over MSU.
Probably a good time for a visit with Ernie besides, he has a good report with this Michigan kids.

I knew we knew he was coming, but according to educk, the visit was solidified via a phone call yesterday afternoon. That is what I read, so that is why I posted. Just an update on old news I suppose.tonyd wrote:We've known this for 3 weeks now.

Glad educk gets the credit from something I reported 3 weeks ago. Don't worry people posted the same thing on DT too. Apparently I type invisible text or something.

Jhop, you are my favorite and you get tons of cred from me. Just saw it on educk so I posted it as an update.jhopduck wrote:Glad educk gets the credit from something I reported 3 weeks ago. Don't worry people posted the same thing on DT too. Apparently I type invisible text or something.
That being said, just lay back on this couch, take two of these and tell me what your childhood troubles were which is causing you to feel so insecure around your friends? J/K. I know credit is important in your line of work. Let this note memorialize that all credit regarding this issue should be attributed to a certain Mr. Jhop.

It's too bad that it is overcast and slightly cool when Mathis is visiting this weekend. Hopefully the weather doesn't play too much of a factor in his decision and he enjoys other facets of the program. It would also be nice if we can get him in for an official visit so he can see a game-type atmosphere.

Overcast and slightly cool beats the heck out of 108 and muggy, to a football player.

I don't think that extreme is appealing either, but having weather like we did in Eugene on like Tuesday and Wednesday (mid-80s and sunny) would help more than cloudy and cool. Sunny weather just makes our facilities look that much better. The only people probably liking this weather right now are the players since they don't have to contend with hot temperatures that usually meet them at the beginning of fall camp.woundedknees wrote:Overcast and slightly cool beats the heck out of 108 and muggy, to a football player.
