2) Recently Rivals had Sione Potoae as "high" interest in Oregon and USC. Today they show his interest in all other schools as "low." Anything new here, or does Rivals just like to mess with our heads?

1) According to Rivals, Ethan Grant is listed as a "soft verbal" while our other four commits are all listed as "solid." Has anything changed? Are the coaches just as confidant in his commitment?

And why is Cal kicking out rear end in recruiting?
Yikes. I'm married to a Cal Grad. Good thing she doesn't care about football.

DSA marks anyone who is still taking visits as a soft verbal.
Potoa'e as a high interest is a joke, the kid is a soft verbal to Washington.

[quote="cmmadness"]And why is Cal kicking out rear end in recruiting?
Must be because of their impressive facilities.....lol...They have some damn nice portable toilets at the top of the stadium and some seating benches that only have a few areas of major splinters to sit on.....Oh, not to mention the attractive huge crack that extends across the stadium...What recruit wouldnt be impressed with it all..
I guess some recruits just cant see the forest for the trees...
Yeah, Cal may get a new stadium down the road, but most likely not completed within the next recruiting cycle or two....

Maybe they like looking at the hairy legs of tree sitters from the stadium concourse... Oh that's right! The trees were cut down.
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

Re: Recruiting for dummies
1) Why no offer for Jeffrey Godfrey if he is the # 3 dual threat in the country?
2) Percentage chance we get Munchie?
3) If we miss on Munchie and Gonzales, will we make another offer at QB or wait til next year?
4) Why the distinction between running back and "all purpose" back? (big time dummie question)
5) Chances we get Darius White, Trevon Reed, Ivan McCartney, Dyjuan Lewis. Kennt Stills, Ted Meline?
(I mean chances separately, not chances we get all of them)
6) Chances for Seantrel Henderson, Nick Rowland?
7) Owa shows Oregon and Cal as "medium" on Rivals. Why do we assume he is going to Cal?
8) Chances we land Dominique Easley?
9) Chances I stop asking stupid questions?

1. I don't know, you'd have to ask the coaches I supposecmmadness wrote:1) Why no offer for Jeffrey Godfrey if he is the # 3 dual threat in the country?

2. I think about 70-80%, some people think he may be a silent commit
3. Kelly told Bennett we wouldn't offer anyone else, so my guess is no
4. I think all purpose backs are usually backs that can catch and maybe line up in the slot too, but i don't know for sure
5. Darius White: Don't know Trovon Reed: Probably pretty slim (maybe 5%) Dyjuan Lewis: Don't know Kenny Stills: Probably pretty slim (5-10%) Ted Meline: Decent (20-30%)
6. Seantrel Henderson: Not gonna happen unless there's a huge change Nick Rowland: I think a decent chance
7. He's sounded like he likes Cal more (and rivals/scout's) interest system is very broad and often inaccurate
8. I think maybe 25%
9. 0%
"Huard's gonna go back to throw the ball. Sets up, looks, throws towards the corner of the endzone. It is... INTERCEPTED! INTERCEPTED! THE DUCKS HAVE THE BALL! Down to the 35! The 40! KENNY WHEATON'S GONNA SCORE!!! KENNY WHEATON'S GONNA SCORE!!! 20! THE 10! TOUCHDOWN!!! KENNY WHEATON, AN INTERCEPTION!!! THE MOST IMPROBABLE FINISH TO A FOOTBALL GAME!!!"

On Godfrey I've heard the combo of grades and height, or lack thereof.cmmadness wrote:1) Why no offer for Jeffrey Godfrey if he is the # 3 dual threat in the country?

Re: Recruiting for dummies
1) Why no offer for Jeffrey Godfrey if he is the # 3 dual threat in the country? They like Bennett as a prospect better, grades and height are also a concern.
2) Percentage chance we get Munchie? Pretty darn good
3) If we miss on Munchie and Gonzales, will we make another offer at QB or wait til next year? Wait till next year unless someone wants to decommit but there's a lot of QBs already showing interest for 2011 class so I think they only take Bennett in that scenario.
4) Why the distinction between running back and "all purpose" back? All Purpose is a guy who can be used in different roles outside of RB as in the return game, slot, motion, catching the ball a lot more, etc.
7) Owa shows Oregon and Cal as "medium" on Rivals. Why do we assume he is going to Cal? Inside info
