Chris McCain
McCain is going to announce soon. Jhop knows more of the details but right now Chris McCain has asked to keep the info to Jhop and McCain's family. Other outlets have reported a possible commit from McCain but out of the wishes of the family I am sure Jhop won't comment on this.

Good enough for me.
We need to remember that a lot of the info shared here is from privileged sources, and at times has been requested by that source to keep it close to the vest.
A lot of this info is given in a spirit of trust.

Re: Chris McCain
Another week before we know? Posted today online by the Fayetteville Observer...
"No. 18 on The Observer's list of the state's top 50 college prospects has changed schools. Chris McCain , a 6-6, 190-pound athlete who played last season at Northeast Guilford, has transferred to the Central Carolina Sports Academy in Winston-Salem. McCain is expected to announce his college choice next week with California, Maryland and Oregon topping his list."
Also a bit of info about Gabe King in the same recap.

Re: Chris McCain
He is 6'6, so I would bet he could easily put on 20-30lbs his RS year. Paysinger put on 18lbs since the end of last year and Mathews put on 15lbs.

yeah, i really doubt the kid weighs 196lbs. right now. redshirt him a year and he'll be up around 240 or so. by the time he's a soph, he'll be probably 250-260. HS weight doesn't mean much when you're 6-5 or so.

Re: Chris McCain
SOOOOOOO.....anything been confirmed yet with McCain? A press event would have happened by now if he was announcing today, correct? I need to have a sigh of relief or disappointment. One or the other!
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Ditto both of the previous comments. What is the scoop on McCain?

Notice the plane that we flew on?

Re: Chris McCain
McCain is looking to announce over the ESPNu and I believe they are working out the details. None the less I expect Oregon to be his school. Today, tomorrow, next week, he is a Duck

Watched the Rivals video interview with the 'Greensboro Trio' again the other day. Just a hunch but I think this kid will be a GREAT addition to the Duck family, both on and off the field.

Re: Chris McCain
6'6 is great size, but less than 2 bills?
I've heard LB, but any other ideas where he might play? WR? TE? DE?
All said, the kid looks like a beast and hopefully he can bring his pals w/ him accross country. Kinda tough for a parent to say no when your 3 close friends are all gonna be there w/ the kid.
LOVE IT. GO DUCKS!
