So, what position did we recruit him as? Also, can we expect more out of this package deal or will it just be these two?

My source just said Chip is officially back!
It will be announced at Autzen press conference tomorrow afternoon!

Hopefully being out here with a HS teammate(s) will help them avoid the homesickness problem that has plagued other recruits.

Also maybe the two of them already committing to the Ducks could help with getting Allen and King. Maybe Allen's parents won't worry so much about him being so far away if he has close friends with him. I would be stoked to play college ball with 3 of my high school teammates!pdxduck wrote:Hopefully being out here with a HS teammate(s) will help them avoid the homesickness problem that has plagued other recruits.

I was only referring to the 2010 class of course.tonyd wrote:Fixed it for ya!UOducksTK1 wrote:Scales is indeed a duck.

Oops, Can't forget Mo Harris.. He's probably more likely to be a duck than even Gabe King, eh?

anybody know if this is the most recruits we have ever had this early in the year? Seems like we are doing pretty good right now but im so spoiled as a duck fan now it doesn't feel good enough.

mccain said hes been playing with scales and allen since he was six so hopefully that will swing him our way. picking up the number 8 prospect in the country and a top caliber saftey would be huge...

Being as far away from home as they are arriving with a support network of friends in place is a huge. As noted on a different thread if indeed the parents are occupying him this plays well for the Ducks, as long as the fans behave themselves at the game. That will be one crazy night in Autzen.

He should also look at the safety situation right now at Oregon. He could see some playing time early since our depth is going to be somewhat shallow after this year. Right now, we only have Javes Lewis, Marvin Johnson, John Boyett, and Brian Jackson.
