Re: Dantae Williams a Duck!!!
It's not official since Kelly won't accept a commitment until they have visited but on Halloween or shortly after it should be an official verbal. I wonder if he plans on making a televised announcement? The Ducks could use some positive media coverage!

He's a soft verbal, won't be solid until his visit.

Scroll down the page just a bit for the update on Dontae Williams thread http://www.ducksattack.com/forum/viewto ... f=6&t=2681. I appears he is wavering just a bit since his soft commitment about a month ago.

Looks like people were right about the good news. James, Grant and Williams would be a nice trio. Nice!!!!!! This guy appears to have all the tools to be very successful at Oregon.

Re: Dantae Williams a Duck!!!
I don't think Oregon will stop recruiting Lattimore since they want to take 3 RBs. I think Oregon needs to sell the concept of competition, like USC does. That is the only aspect of Carroll that I like. He tells all recruits that they can compete for playing time as a freshman, even if there upperclassmen at that position. He says it gets the competitive juices flowing in the recruits and he likes those that are willing to take the challenge of trying to unseat starters. We need to start being like that.duckgrad99 wrote:Does this take us out of the running for Lattimore?

I don't think so, Lattimore is a different RB than Williams. Lattimore has a lot of interest in the Ducks but I personally think Penn State lands him because of location.duckgrad99 wrote:Does this take us out of the running for Lattimore?

I do think that Lattimore will eventually end up at some East Coast school. I believe that Oregon will get another top-notch RB though.
