King was scheduled to be here for an official today. He was dressed down and on the sidelines for South Eugene last night.
This would have been an excellent game to showcase Oregon's D to him.

I though I "maybe" saw Gabe King down on the sidelines, but I didnt go down and check the guys ID...And not sure that I would be able to positively identify him anyway, so who knows..This would have been a gr8 game for him to have been at though...

Gabe King may have attended the game (I hope he did) but according to Mosley's blog it wouldn't be an official...woundedknees wrote:King was scheduled to be here for an official today. He was dressed down and on the sidelines for South Eugene last night.

King initially declined an interview request from R-G reporter Steve Mims, who is covering the game tonight, but afterward confirmed the basic details of his transfer. One twist is, he said he’s not making his official visit with the Ducks this weekend, as he had been scheduled to do. Would be understandable if he’s moving this weekend, and now that he lives here, he could make his official visit whenever he wants.

I think scales was in town so it would make sense for him to stop by at least to see him, i didnt recognize any of the recruits on the sideline though.

Derek Nielson was there along with Gabe King both unofficial visits. The
Ducks have been toying with Nielson and there going to lose him if they
don't lock him up soon. He's getting a lot of love from OSU.

You are correct. King was at the game on an unofficial visit. Word is that his family was with him as well.maxduck wrote:Gabe King may have attended the game (I hope he did) but according to Mosley's blog it wouldn't be an official...woundedknees wrote:King was scheduled to be here for an official today. That brings up another question that I have. Did Gabe's family pack up and move to Eugene, also? if not, how did he manage this transfer? Thanks!

Re: Hope the visitors can recognize opportunity
In Oregon, it is permissible for students to transfer from out of state, or out of country, for that matter, as long as they have a sponsor family. Participating in organized athletics for their chosen school is generally accepted in those cases.
They live in district, and usually pay an exhorbitant tuition for the privilege.
It is possible that this is the route King's family has chosen.
Who knows? Maybe he's living with Dino Philyaw!

Apparently he's still in Eugene, so looks like he will indeed be moving out here.goducks wrote:That brings up another question that I have. Did Gabe's family pack up and move to Eugene, also? if not, how did he manage this transfer? Thanks!
