Re: Boyd To Oregon
This thread is titled Boyd to Oregon probably because of this line: "Now when I make my decision I won't regret anything."
I think on the surface, people would think he means that now all the cards on the table, he can finally make a decision after seeing all the colleges he wanted to see. But I think if you read between the lines, you could interpret that as, I've already been thinking Oregon, this trip confirmed the fact that I still want to go to Oregon, but at least I saw Clemson and won't have to live with not at least giving it a visit, something along those lines.
That's just my take.

I think Oregon has as good a shot as anybody... Maybe better, due to the world class sports marketing program and the unbelieveable rehab facilities the Ducks are able to provide.
Plus the Ducks have way better hats available...

Will that be televised? I want to watch thatGoDuckYourself wrote:He said he's going to have a selection news conference and pick a school from hats. First of all it would make zero sense to tell anyone where he's going before he officialy announces. Secondly, saying everyone is even is a good way to build some anticipation for his announcement.

Re: Boyd To Oregon IMO
AN 8.5?? I'm sorry but an 8.5 visit is not pulling Boyd in at this point. He was iffy on the trip to begin with and he had a good time, not an exceptional time.
He's telling the clemson writer some of what he wants to hear, three schools lead blah blah. But guess what this kid has wanted Oregon since CK visited him two weeks ago. His parents are urging him to stay closer and at least check out all possibilities and in the end if he decides Oregon, they will support him.
Well guess what he obliged his parents and now he finally gets to announce where he wants to go.
WE got him.

Re: Boyd To Oregon IMO
He will be a Duck. One thing I noticed is it said 5* QB enjoys visit. His profile on both Rivals and Scout have him listed as a 4*. I bet his performance in the AAA game moved him up to a 5*. After Oregon gets Boyd and Brown, two 5* guys in one class (#1 RB and #1 overall and #4 QB and #51 overall, although that might change for Boyd) and a handful or so of 4* guys will easily put the Ducks into the top 15 and be the best class ever (even though a couple of years ago they had a #11 class). And 2010 class might be even better (already one 4* commit and there are rumors of possibly a second, so two 4* guys already) I have said it several times, but I am excited for the future of Duck football!!!!!!

Plus, I think when a recruit has just visited a school, that school is very much on the forefront of his mind; it only makes sense. So even if the statement that the three schools are "even" is reality for the moment, I suspect whatever Clemson "experience" he had will fade over the next few days, and where he really wants to go will come to the forefront. I agree that Clemson needed a knockout and they didn't get it. Now it's waiting for that news conference . . .

How many underwater treadmills do those other two schools have? Oh that's right. And he wants to go into sports marketing too! Welcome to Oregon. Meet Phil Knight. You will love being a duck.

This latest info on eDuck from Baron is confusing. He starts the thread saying the news isn't good re Boyd. He says TB's dad text him (upon arriving home) and said all 3 schools even. Then 10 minutes later, in the same thread, he mentions that there was insider info that on Saturday or during the Clemson trip, that the Boyds contacted CK and told him Tajh is a Duck and they're moving to Oregon.
The way I read it was Baron himself said it's confuing because on the one hand he was hearing about them contacting Chip about moving, etc. then he gets the text after their trip saying all 3 are even.

Re: Boyd To Oregon IMO
Well if they plan on moving to Eugene and all three schools are even, it means Clemson and tOSU are in the parents minds as good as Oregon but Boyd is choosing Oregon. Besides I think they are just being cordial and polite to tOSU and Clemson. Brown come on down, follow your AAA MVP mate to the Northwest and enjoy success!!MacDuck wrote:This latest info on eDuck from Baron is confusing. Re: Boyd To Oregon IMO
Kind of sounds to me that he is calling all schools even to add suspence to his pending decision. From most of his comments after the trip I still feel really good about Tajh becoming a duck.
