Except they were citing someone who currently covers WMU who was on the station earlier. The only thing that is really hearsay is the stuff with his infidelity.
As for Isaac and Suke, they are most definitely not anti-Ducks. As for being dbags, they don't take themselves seriously which I think is one of there most redeeming qualities as radio guys. Too many in the sports radio business have a stick up their ass and take themselves and their shows way too seriously. They are the ultimate contrarians in the local radio market which is why I listen to them.
I agree with what someone said above though. As long as he wins, people won't care how much of a bro or dbag he is. As long as he wins and doesn't embarrass the program or damage the program further, I could really care less about his antics. It's going to be a shock to people in/around the program given his stark contrast to Helf's demeanor.
This conversation is silly. What about Jim Harbaugh? Urban Meyer? Nick Saban? Dabo Swinney? Biggest douchbags in CFB. Yet all of them have a shot to go to the playoff going into championship weekend. I could care less if he is an ass. His players would run through a brick wall for him and he wins. That's what I care about.
Fleck has lost some of his glow for me, but he is certainly a higher choice for me than other names getting tossed around. As far as personality, I could care less......first, don't bring in thugs, thieves and rapist. Second win and win a lot. Playing for championships cures a bunch of hesitations but I won't tolerate, as a fan, criminals on scholarship.

Maybe, Ick and Suck were quoting the WMU equivalent of The Bald one...
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!
You know what PJ Fleck is exactly like? The uniforms. New. Different. Exciting. Cool.
Just like the uniforms, we can pretend to be savants and call out the antics all we we want, but the bottom line is it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what random old white guy fan thinks. What matters is what the 5* recruit who runs a 4.3 40 thinks. And he thinks Fleck is awesome. Inspiring. Captivating. A guy he'd love to play for.
If the Ducks were a Penn State, USC, or Notre Dame, I'd hate the idea of Fleck as well, and I'd be all for hiring the 65 year old guy with 40 years experience. But that's not Oregon. That's not Oregon's identity. Oregon is a unique, tradition breaking program, Fleck would be a unique, tradition-breaking pick for coach, and that's why I think he'd be a great hire.

Said this after the game as a way to deflect questions about his job future. Clever answer, you have to give him that.

Everyone wants a Mike Riley personality combined with Saban/Meyer coaching chops. That coach doesn't exist. Big personalities thrive in today's college football.

We need a coach who takes D seriously. Did you see what the mutts did last night? We will never beat UW again with a 100+ ranked defense. We need a coach who can win games when the O isn't scoring 50 points.
