actually he was a 5 star. he had a weird deal, multiple profiles. one of them was a 1 star, the other was a 5 star that got downgraded to a 4 star.duckgrad99 wrote:First of all, I don't think Oregon would have wasted much time on a running back this early if they didn't think he was going to amount to much. Second, Grant was starting to hear from some major programs. If he is a 1 or 2 star, that will be laughable. Didn't scout also have Masoli as a 1 star? Hilarious!!!!

apparently they ended up downgrading him all the way to 3 stars, i do remember that he was a 5 star at one point though.mdm0302 wrote:actually he was a 5 star. he had a weird deal, multiple profiles. one of them was a 1 star, the other was a 5 star that got downgraded to a 4 star.duckgrad99 wrote:First of all, I don't think Oregon would have wasted much time on a running back this early if they didn't think he was going to amount to much. Well I would much rather have a 5 star than a 1 star player, but yeah, often times stars are just a symbol.

Huge commit guys...as far as Stars and how good is he? First you can't teach his 4.19 speed and his athleticism and two our coaches wanted him so that's good enough for me...and third watch his video!
A Grant, Brown and James backfield sounds good to me!

im just scanning the board and see that you say he runs a 4.19.. is that a mistake or is that really a recorded time on him if so that would be unreal in our offense.

Re: grant committed to UO
Got a text from mops when I was playing bball. Great news! I was so excited when I heard he chose the O. He's gonna thrive here; speed kills in our system. 2 probable 4 stars so far for the 2010 class. IT's already better than this year's class haha.

wow Florida DOES NOT offer kids this early if they arent gonna be big time recruits. there is no doubt he will be a 4 star maybe 5.

This was his reported time as a SO...it may have been from a camp I do not know but the kid has wheels! I'd be pretty happy if it turns out to be a slow 4.3 flat!!brich75 wrote:im just scanning the board and see that you say he runs a 4.19.. is that a mistake or is that really a recorded time on him if so that would be unreal in our offense.
As stated above he is getting interest all over and I guess Florida offered him that right there tells you something, lets hope he stays committed now!

From a the FSU Scout article done on him. It says FSU, UF, us and some others had offered. Watching that video he is a great fit for our offense.VinnyKnuckles wrote:Where did you get the information that Florida offered him?mdm0302 wrote:wow Florida DOES NOT offer kids this early if they arent gonna be big time recruits. there is no doubt he will be a 4 star maybe 5.

This certainly makes the possibility of whiffing on Brown a little easier to stomach.....
