Class make up

Post by jimmy12 »

Who is left? With the attrition, I think the class could be 25-27 deep.

OL (2)
QB (1)--
TE (depends on McKitty) (1) (Falo?--unlikely)
DT (2) Brandon Pili? Jay Tufele? (JC)?
DE (2) Myron Tagovailoao? Aldeon Tofa? Terrance Lange
LB (2) Daniel Green? Rhayme Johnson?
CB (2) Thomas Graham, Deommodre Lennoir
WR (2) Bruce Judson, Cyrus Habibi Aliko

DEFENSE (6 total)
Jaylon Redd (CB)
Demetrius Douglas (CB)
Nick Pickett (ATH, S)
Rutger Reitmaier (DT)
Popo Aumavae (DT)
Sampson Niu (LB)

Offense (6 total)
Alex Forsyth (OL)
Tre' McKitty (TE)-- shaky
CJ Verdell (RB) -- shaky
Moses Robinson-Carr (TE)
Darrian McNeal (WR)
Johnny Johnson III (WR)

Special Teams (1)
Adam Stack (P)

Sounds like Darrian McNeal will be a CB, not WR; of course it was only the tweeter I saw so I could be off base

I have a feeling Colin Schooler ends up as part of this class.

McNeal said he's being recruited as a WR.

I sure hope so. He has great instincts and reminds me of Casey Mathews in way. Not the most athletic guy, but a smart player who doesn't make mistakes.

Is he related to our Schooler?

Yes it's his younger brother who is a LB prospect.

I'm not sure how Colin Schooler doesn't have any Pac-12 offers. He's been all-state 3 years in a row, been named defensive player of the year in his league, is also a standout TE/RB on offense, and seems to have the measurables you'd want in a P5-level player. He's the type of athlete that powered Oregon for so many years.

I sure hope we offer the younger Schooler. We need more Schooler types. Like greenyellow said, they're the classic Oregon throwback player. Every great Oregon team had a few in the starting lineup.

Right now, it seems he's intent on keeping Oregon's defensive commits but is really indifferent towards the offensive commits. I think it'd be a mistake to not keep at least a few, if not all, of them this late in the game with a limited staff.

My guesses on the rest of this class:
QB- Tua Tagovailoa or no one.
RB- Cyrus Habibi-Likio
WR-Bruce Judson
TE-Josh Falo, JUCO, or one more TE
OL-

DT- Brandon Pili
DE- Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa, one more player
LB-Daniel Green, Rahyme Johnson, Colin Schooler
CB-Deommodore Lenoir

Final Breakdown:
QB- 0-1
RB- 2
WR- 3
TE-2
OL-2-3

DT-4
DE-2
LB-4
DB-4

Total tally around 23-24 players.

Gates and Lenoir, maybe Judson.

After that, we'll just have to see.

Yeah, getting Green would be really nice.

Hopefully he's kept his grades up.

What would be a real big one is flipping the two UW kids from Oregon, really either one, like Peterson shadily did right when he got to UW with Budda Baker. Was the first of many bad signs for Helfie losing that commit.
