Oregon going after 5* RB Stephen Carr?
It appears Willie Taggart isn't shy about who he wants to recruit since he's now following 5* USC RB commit Stephen Carr. Add in the fact Carr tweeted this out and it appears the interest is mutual. Could be another DAT-like situation, especially if the rumors about USC going after Najee Harris are true.

Very interesting, obviously would be a huge get. Let's hope Willie T can snatch him away !

Really curious to see if Taggart can land kids like this after a full year of recruiting with his staff.

In anticipation of that, about 40% of the offers that have gone out so far have been to 2018 prospects.UofO8 wrote:Really curious to see if Taggart can land kids like this after a full year of recruiting with his staff.

Wow could this be a slightly less behind the scenes DAT and maybe a little payback for that Hawaiian RB who flipped last second last year? Here's hoping these recruiting efforts payoff on the field and in the W/L columns.

Going after them is one thing... so far none of the 4 and 5 star recruits who are committed elsewhere have flipped. I believe it is still the dead period. I would like to see one or more of them flip but the reality is that it is probably not likely. Yes it does happen occasionally that Oregon gets a top recruit to flip... but we have tried a lot more than succeeded. Not saying it is in vain. Just am being realistic and practical.

If I was Jhop I would be writing a story with no merit just to get clicks and getting paid for it. Thanks for the vote of confidence on your part though. I am not here to get people to view my post. I have been on this message board long enough. I never have any inside information or anything from understanding of x's and o's point I am confident have added things to the message board in my 8 or 9 years been on the board.

Looks like he'll be visiting Oregon on January 13th but will also take official visits to UCLA and USC. Still think he winds up in LA.

That's what I'm really looking forward to seeing. I guess if he can pull in a big name commit late in the game, that would make me think YES he can.UofO8 wrote:Really curious to see if Taggart can land kids like this after a full year of recruiting with his staff.
