Rahyme Johnson/Martin Andrus to UCLA
In not too unsurprising moves, LB Rahyme Johnson and DT Martin Andrus have committed to UCLA in a video reminiscent the van scene from Old School. Many thought Johnson would commit due to his friends (Graham, Pickett, Redd) also being committed to Oregon but it seems Taggart and Leavitt didn't think enough of him to continue his recruitment. Andrus, despite being friends with those other guys, was always someone I thought would stay in LA.

Getting the big dudes from LA to leave LA seems somehow even harder than going after skill position players.

We could have had Johnson, but he's got some issues offf the field. And besides I was never impressed with his tape, the kid doesn't look like he likes contact, and his form tackling sucks.

Andrus also doesn't really fit a 3-4 defense since he doesn't have the size for a 3-4 DE and his skillset is better used as a 4-3 DE.

He can grow into a 4-3 DT but definitely not a NT. Didn't fit.greenyellow wrote:Andrus also doesn't really fit a 3-4 defense since he doesn't have the size for a 3-4 DE and his skillset is better used as a 4-3 DE.

Pretty sweet video for just having some fun announcing. Living in LA you meet at least a few filmmakers, so access is easy.
