I appreciate the effort that Taggart has put out throwing offers out there but so far the offers to 4 and 5 star recruits who are already committed to the big time programs, none of them have flipped. I didn't expect any of them to. It will be interesting to see if he recruits them for a longer period whether can get those kind of recruits to come play at Oregon. Right now it looks like throwing out offers in hopes something will stick. So far nothing has. I would be shocked if any of the major recruits that are already committed will actually flip. It happens, but since only been recruiting them for maybe a month to come to Oregon, I am not holding my breath.

Recruiting is typically about long-term relationships so that always put Taggart and the staff behind the 8-ball for the 2017 class. Him shotgunning offers out was his way of jumpstarting Oregon recruiting again and trying to capitalize on relationships he'd built down in FL and on the East Coast. The 2017 class is not going to be one of their stronger classes, but it won't be for a lack of trying by Taggart. I think they're likely in better position for 2018 since they've offered a lot of prospects early to start building those bonds.

The US Army has decided to end their 16-year relationship with the game due a reassessment of their marketing strategy. Wonder who'll sponsor it now.

All depends if they want to throw the extra money in to become the headlining sponsor. Even though they're an apparel sponsor for the Polynesian Bowl, I'm surprised that Nike has yet to get majorly involved with an all-star game.
