That and no doubt his phones having blowing up the last few hours.
A writer for SB Nation's Pacific Takes said that after getting in contact with people close to Burmeister and getting his decision, he won't publish it so Braxton can announce it himself. He believes the announcement will be either tonight or tomorrow.
UA starts its Spring Semester on the 11th, UO on the 9th (or 10th, given the weather). IF he is an EE, could his decision announcement be literally showing up to campus?

That's how najee harris (#1 overall player) did it. Arrived at bama today.

He'd basically be pulling what Najee Harris said he do before deciding to just stick with his Alabama commitment.
Not sure if it is real or not but on a facebook group I saw a screenshot of a Darrian Felix message between him and Braxton and he said he is committed to Oregon.

I've talked with guys in the recruiting department (1 of which is now gone) and I literally never heard, nor got even remotely close, to this sentiment in those conversations. It was always the exact opposite - "We don't have a hard time finding good players, we have a hard time getting good players to Oregon. Here's a list of reasons it's difficult to recruit here..." which was beyond frustrating to hear from people IN the recruiting department. They wanted but didn't fight for the players who weren't 100% sold on Oregon, and they took for granted the players who were 100% sold on Oregon. But I never once heard anything like "Oregon recruits itself," just the opposite.
Here's what I find the most frustrating on top of what you just said STU. Most of the entire defense (sand Budda) wanted Oregon offers, but did not get them or got them after they had decided. Wouldn't we have loved to have those guys this year? (especially if we had a defensive coach that could coach to his assets). I am so glad Hoke is gone. I still can't get past his looks of confusion EVERY score.

Via wanted nothing more than a UO offer. He even had UO and Miami as his leaders for months, before finally giving up and going to UW. He would have been a huge help for UO the last couple years.
It's all really complicated. To start, they were married to the concept that once a player commits, there's no backing off, which they did to establish a reputation of trust on the recruiting trail. The issue therein is that you can't offer the 3* guy you like until the 5* guy you like better tells you he's in or not. So that caused delays in recruiting.
One of the things I really like about how Chris Petersen hits the recruiting trail is that he finds guys relatively early (sophomores, juniors) who his staff perceives as being underrated and recruits the hell out of them. They'll offer 5* guys, but they will also go after 3* guys who they really like and recruit them like they're 5* while every other school is giving them a lukewarm recruiting pitch. What you need in order to be able to recruit this way is a lot of faith in your own eye for talent, which the previous Oregon staff just apparently didn't have.
