It'll be interesting to see if it's ND or Minnesota...remember, Demetrius grew up in Minnesota and his dad played for the Golden Gophers in the early 90's!

Yep. It is Douglas. Just got a ND offer. Not shocking.

I was gonna say, ND is probably a dream school for a lot of Jesuit guys.Madrone wrote:lukeyrid13 wrote:Just got offered by Notre dame yesterday so gotta assume there's a correlation

Best of luck to him but doesn't hurt much considering hot stacked this class is going to be at DB

Douglas has been looking around since Helfrich got fired. There was some speculation that he may end up at Minnesota (I believe his dad played there). Minnesota's old coaching staff was recruiting him and Fleck has continued to pursue him. Would imagine that Notre Dame is probably the favorite now tho.
It also appears that Taggart didn't spend much time trying to retain him.

“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

I like Douglas, but frankly...there are better DB options out there.

Agreed. I'd take Gates or Brini over him every day. Others out there too.DuckedOut wrote:I like Douglas, but frankly...there are better DB options out there.

Re: Ducks lose a recruit?
I think the staff sort of knew this (and likely some possible DB transfers) was happening so that's why they've been going after so many DBs this cycle.
