Marcus Lattimore Cancels FSU visit...

First he canceled his official visit to Florida State this weekend. Now, Byrnes RB Marcus Lattimore has scratched his unofficial visit to USC (South Carolina) for Saturday's game with Kentucky. After traveling to Florida to play in a game last week, and with a game against Spartanburg looming Friday night, Lattimore decided he needed a Saturday at home to catch up on his rest. Lattimore is scheduled for official visits to Auburn the end of this month and Penn State the first weekend in November. Those are the only official visits he has set right now.

Not that I expect him to visit Oregon, but it might open his eyes to the possibilities.

I haven't given up on it... he said the reason the official trip was cancelled for the USC game on Halloween was because he wanted his mom and dad to come along and that they won't have the money by then, so he's coming with them sometime after the season. He has mentioned a post-season visit to Oregon in a lot of interviews, and not just ones to Oregon sites.

He has gone out of his way to talk with Oregon fans and got in contact with the UO coaches himself, so I'll believe him that that's the reason the trip is postponed. If he doesn't visit, oh well, but with the interest he has shown towards Oregon I am not counting him out yet. He might be aware of the issues we've had with other east coast parents and wants to make sure they can see the program first-hand.

From everything I have read Marcus Lattimore appears to be a very serious and insightful young man. Hopefully the Ducks at least get a visit.

As far as I know, he still plans to visit Oregon after his season is over. However, how many times have we heard that from a top recruit? Postponing visits to the point where they finally never visit.

A visit to Oregon is everything in this situation. No visit, no chance. A visit, and we are a finalist.

He cancelled our visit and then FSU and then South Carolina. If he visits Oregon great, if he were to choose Oregon even better but I doubt he even visits. This is looking like Pryor/Brown all over again regardless of what anyone says. We heard the same thing with Pryor and Brown and Pryor didn't even visit.

At this point i would be really happy with Grant & Dontae Williams. Is Williams still visiting for the SC game? Seems like if we keep winning & put on a good performance against SC then he will reaffirm that verbal.

If Oregon keeps winning, including the USC game, I think we have a great shot at a visit. If we lose a few more games ... no chance.
