Cody Shear
It's being reported by Matt Prehm of 247Sports that the entire staff, less Cristobal, went to Sheldon High School in Eugene today to see offensive lineman Cody Shear who is committed to Arizona.

Re: Cody Shear
Pretty sure Greatwood simply didn't think he was UO caliber.
After perusing twitter, it looks like the staff is stopping at multiple Eugene-area high schools. Saw one pic of the staff hanging out at Thurston.
Shear doesn't have an offer, but frankly I think he'd make a really great guard in college. He's tremendously athletic.

Hey that's my old stomping grounds. They have a couple super athletic kids. Tyson Haas is a freak of nature athlete but would need to put on wieght to play in the division 1.chipkellysballs wrote:Staff also went to Thurston today

There have been a few walk ons but I believe he was the last that got any attention. He was from Thurston.Duck07 wrote:Well isn't Ryan Keeling the last Duck from either of those schools?brich75 wrote:Hahaha oh no you didn't!dthomas=ddixon wrote:Get back to me when they visit Springfield High; the real powerhouse in Springfield.

Nice, getting familiar with Oregon HS coaches early on will go a long way in keeping the in-state gems in state.

I remember Altman did the same thing when he was hired. There hasn't been many Oregon-level recruits in his time but I think it likely helped with Pritchard.chipkellysballs wrote:Nice, getting familiar with Oregon HS coaches early on will go a long way in keeping the in-state gems in state.
