I have no idea how he didn't have an offer before. He's what we need in the back. Plus, his brother will be a top DL recruit in 2019.
Recently released a top 3 of USC, UW, and ASU. I hope we can get in there but I doubt it.

It boggles my mind. I don't want to turn this into an old staff bashing thread but jeeze...jimmy12 wrote:How are we just seeing his name now? That guy is an animal.

Under the previous regime.....it would of been WAAAAYYYY too late in the game to get this kid. Under Coach T and the new and improved coaching staff....I'll give Coach Leavitt & Coach Joe a "punchers chance" in landing him. They're out there knocking on doors....talking to potential recruits and their parents. Because they're out there....."Doing Something!"

He's great but too late in the game. He's SC bound

I think we have a punchers chance throwing nothing but haymakers. We need to remember that just because we haven't heard his name or that the old coaching staff hadn't been in contact with him doesn't mean that WT or one of the new coaches doesn't have some sort of relationship with him from there previous school. It might not be the first time Pola-Moa has heard or talked to one of our new coaches. Just food for thought.

Uncle Joe likely already has a relationship with him. Pola-Moa has an offer from Washington State.Phenom wrote:Profile: http://247sports.com/Player/Isaiah-Pola-Mao-81331

Playing time is the obvious approach here; let's hope he's receptive to their overtures.

Usually, I've heard the name of any top 150 recruit in a Pac-12 state, but never heard of this guy until now. I hate to beat a dead horse, but it just shows the lack of competence from our previous staff.Phenom wrote:It boggles my mind. Anyway, Pola-Moa looks like a stud.

Why would we want a Big Fast Free Safety who hits like a Mack truck when we can have T.Robinson doing his version of a tackle (OLAY)!UOducksTK1 wrote:Usually, I've heard the name of any top 150 recruit in a Pac-12 state, but never heard of this guy until now. I like him a lot. An enforcer type who seems to have great athleticism and good hands. A Boyet type only more athletic. My only knock is the not wrapping up when making a hit, but that seems to be the new fad over the last 6=8yrs and is coachable. Kind of like these WR/RB/PR dropping the ball just before they cross the goal line on a long run/punt return. He wasn't horrible about it and I've seen worse, it did stick out to me though. Hope we pick him up.
