With this coaching staff being much more visible on the recruiting trail, it's turning into a much more informative and entertaining thread than I thought it'd ever be.Alan wrote:Just can't say what a great thread this is, fantastic please keep it coming!

Re: Coaches' visit tracker
Taggart and Reaves are in AZ, visiting the HS of recent TE offer Jared Poplawski.
Dougherty is in FL now. Think that's either 2 or 3 coaches in the state, with Pimpleton and Dougherty confirmed with Clark's whereabouts unknown but last seen in FL.

Dougherty visited with USF WR commit Daewood Davis. It's also been reported that he was checking out a few other recruits at Davis' school in Deerfield Beach, FL, including a WR recruit (Deajuan McDougle) from the class of 2020 that got an offer.

Leavitt and Critobal visited LB Ellis Brooks last night and now they're coming back home, with a stopover in TN
Looks like a good portion of the staff is headed back to CA
Taggart is back in SoCal, visiting with Elijah Gates
Heyward visited DB Elijah Blades last night

I love being able to see how hard these coaches are working. Social media is great not only for us fans to get an idea of what's going on behind the scenes but obviously also great for recruiting. Nice to be able to follow things with the program without the secrecy and obviously a breath of fresh air surrounding recruiting, no complacency from these coaches.

Never seen anything like this. Literally every coach is on the road and grinding. It's absolutely crazy. Remember 2 years ago when it appeared to be just Lubick and Chinander on the road consistently and Pellum would put on his pimp outfits to meet with parents and kids. The entire PAC was probably ecstatic and praying these guys would never get fired. No wonder it was "SO HARD TO RECRUIT TO OREGON." What a friggin joke.gofightingducks wrote:I love being able to see how hard these coaches are working. The real test will be next season. Right now it is an entirely new staff, few, if any, of their families have joined them in Eugene. Might as well be on the road as sitting around a new city in temporary housing. Some of them can even squeeze in a visit to the wife and kids while out recruiting. Reality says it won't be the same going forward.srsmiley007 wrote:Never seen anything like this. Literally every coach is on the road and grinding. It's absolutely crazy. And they're doing with one less assistant coach on hand, although I think they may be using Gilbertson on an interim basis to help out.srsmiley007 wrote:Never seen anything like this. I agree, entirely new staff, hitting the ground running, knowing they are behind the 8 ball and wanting to make a great first impression but I think things will continue moving forward. Taggart is serious about winning a national championship and the only way he is going to do that is by working harder than everyone else and getting top talent to come to Eugene. Everyone may not have the same level of high energy as things move forward but there will be no letdown, these coaches will not become complacent. The old regime, as far as most of the position coaches had been here for so long that it was natural without proper leadership to become complacent I feel. Excited for the future though.

Re: Coaches' visit tracker
With Raymond Woodie being hired today as ST coach, the staff is now complete and Taggart will have another excellent recruiter out on the road.
