Pontius' post never would have happened it you hadn't taken offense to a Russian hacker joke and made it political.
I responded to those earlier posts I quoted -- posts that already WERE political -- and I tried to do it in the least-political way possible while still pointing out the harm in going down that road.
And yes, why was this even unlocked? It was over.
Leave politics on other forums. Don't zero in on me when I'm not the problem. I'm just the one calling out the bullshit. Don't blame me for the bullshit someone else posted.

I understand what content you are taking issue with. I'm of the opinion that we should let the 'veiled references' slide, especially when they're meant facetiously. If it's blatantly political then it will be dealt with by the mods. Otherwise, don't be so thinned skinned. This isn't the place to correct everyone's 'alternative' views, regardless of right you think you are.
This thread has lost its intent and is completely off the rails. All it seems to have done is become a DT thread and inflamed tensions. We need less discussion on politics and more on recruiting.

I had locked it previously because the discussion had become all about the perceived political talk rather than Carr. I think the vast majority people are just tired of all the political sniping, backhands, and arguments, especially after this past election cycle.
Simply stop clicking on the thread if it offends you. Stop reading the posts of the offensive poster. Move on don't get into a pissing match. Not that hard guys.
