Next Commits? Who will be the next couple of recruits to
commit?
I am hopeful for Dixon and Williams. I would also really like to see us get a least 1 DT.
Also, this linebacking core is INSANE. Kaddu is a beats and from what I hear so is Bolo.... With Harris being a stud corner and Boyett showing more than enough to be the future starter a couple of top DT's should be major targets for this team.

unfortunately it doesn't look like that there are many DT's in this class. Does anyone know if Justin Brown will ever make it into UO? Is he playing JC somewhere?

Unfortunately, the NCAA hasn't cleared Justin Brown, and I haven't seen anything to give optimism on the part of Duck fans.
I know he had to take the SAT a second time, on June 7th, so I guess it is possible he didn't get the necessary score.
His GPA was reported to be in the 3.0 range, but that doesn't tell us what his 'core' classes looked like.
The thing that stinks is that, besides not being able to participate in any team functions until the Clearinghouse gets its act together,he essentially is losing a year of eligibility. JB is no longer bound to Oregon, even if he does qualify, because he would have needed to be enrolled when classes started.

The LB Core is ridiculously young, fast, and skilled.
Matthews - Jr.
Paysinger - Jr.
Pleasant - So.
Littlejohn - Jr.
Clay - Fr.
Kaddu - Fr.
If that isn't the best two deep in the Pac-10 then I'll eat my shorts!

Got an email with Oregons updated prospect list. There are a lot of top recruits listed there that we haven't even discussed much on this board.

He's played but our LB depth is so good that it's usually only for a couple of plays and on special teams.brich75 wrote:I dont think I have seen littlejohn play this year is it possible he is red shirting. Or did I just miss him?

Coaches are going to do some visiting this week to recruits. I bet they visit Florida, maybe they can close the deal with Dixon.jimmy12 wrote:commit?

I really want to pick up the recruiting of WRs Anthony Jefferson and Kenny Stills. Darron Thomas is going to need WRs coming in next year that will be ready to play in 2011.

Re: Next Commits? Who will be the next couple of recruits to
Yeah, you always want to keep the recruiting pipeline flowing with talented players. I don't think there is much reason to worry about Thomas not having anyone to throw the ball to in 2011 though. He will have some potentially spectacular wide receiver targets to throw to and they will have quite a bit of experience by then as well. Diante Jackson (has the potential to become one of the best receivers ever at Oregon), Lavasier Tuinei (senior), Tyrece Gaines (senior, assuming his year of eligibility is restored), Garrett Embry (senior), Blake Cantu, Nick Cole, etc. Then at tight end there will be David Paulson (senior) and Dion Jordan, who has scary potential and could develop into just as much of a threat as Ed Dickson, in my opinion.blackjack17 wrote:I really want to pick up the recruiting of WRs Anthony Jefferson and Kenny Stills.
