Lang or DJ Johnson??? Make sense if it's Lang, Lang could have a huge upside. DJ, that goes without saying because he will be phenomenal. Maybe both?

And when you're getting outscooped by Nemec, you know it's bad. He knows close to nothing. Hell, Fentress and Canzano know more than he does.
That's pushing it. Those 2 are absolutely clueless when it comes to recruiting. Nemec has a few sources but he tends to allow the recruits to announce stuff before he publishes the story and he keeps a lot of the rumors he hears to himself or passes them off to Greif and/or Alger.
I'd say Matt is more plugged in than Nemec tbh.
Matt is just let down by his absolutely atrocious writing skills and his preference for covering the basketball program, which makes him seem really indifferent towards the football program at times.

Fentress isn't too bad I think. Canzano is atrocious. Reading his reports on the coaching search was awful. He had to stroke his ego everytime saying how plugged in he was toward the search.

If anything.. I think the biggest insider I would say is Scott Reed. I think he is the most plugged in out of all the writers/reporters from what I see on his twitter. I don't have a rivals account so I don't know know how he is on a daily basis.

In fairness, Canzano was the only one who had the coaching search pretty much nailed.

Very true, I just think his personality and his daily stroke of his ego to his readers just ruins it.

Yeah, by saying Schiano was the top target over and over and over again.

He had no clue who the hire really would be. Hell, he thought Patterson was in the game after he flat out said no to the AD.

Scott Reed is good but he's let down by Rivals being kind of an afterthought these days. Great follow on Twitter though.

He should try and hop on to DT if Ron and Matt would let him. He definitely would save DT's cesspool of trolls and non insider news.

Absolutely right! He's a "journalist?" He's a stain, a brown one.

I'm talking about the last week or so when we were actually interviewing dudes and the whole Chip stuff was floating. All that Schiano stuff, if I remember right, was pretty early. But I honestly don't care that much. Canzano is what he is. He just was better with the coaching search than most the "insiders". Even a blind squirrel or whatever...

Lenoir 5
Gibson 5
Falo 5
Moore 4
Falaniko 4
Artis 4
Tongamoa 3
Speed 3

My list plus how confident I am, 1 to 5, in the prediction. We'll see if we can convince someone to commit Monday.

I thought they gave him an offer before they visited him down in CA. Seems strange he only got one now.

Lenoir and Gibson are 100%

Falo, Moore, Falaniko, Artis, tongamoa and speed are all better than 60/40

The only guy on that list that are deciding against another top level school is Falo.

IMO we take all 8, plus maybe a wildcard like DJ Johnson. Chances are someone defects too

I think we round out the class with the following (I have no inside info, just my predictions):

Deommondre Lenoir
Billy Gibson
DJ Johnson
George Moore
Elijah Blades
DeMarco Artis
Juliano Falaniko
Josh Falo

(Add Ameer Speed if Blades doesn't commit.)
