Jalen Hurd
Per TOS there has been mutual interest between Oregon and Ex-Volunteer Jalen Hurd. Wow imagine if we get him.. 3 head attack between Royce, Hurd, and TBJ. Or we can put him at TE where there is 0 depth. Really hope this gets some more traction.

he'll have to sit out 2017. wants to move to a pass-catching role.scoducks wrote:Per TOS there has been mutual interest between Oregon and Ex-Volunteer Jalen Hurd. Re: Jalen Hurd
He transferred because his coach flat out lied to him about his role and how they would use him in the offense. I see no problem with that.srsmiley007 wrote:NO Way! Lots of mouths to feed in the 2017 offense, he could step into a 2018 team that just said bye to Carrington and Royce. I'd be for it.

As a 2018 TE, he totally makes sense.

Re: Jalen Hurd
Ohio State and Louisville think that Hurd is worth it for one year as a TE. A 6'4" 240lb dude who can be electric with the ball in his hands at a position where we have no depth? Of course we should explore this option. His departure from Tennessee is a red flag, but Butch Jones has that program on the verge of their third implosion in the last 10 years.srsmiley007 wrote:NO Way! This is the kind of transfer you have to explore taking a risk on. If he doesn't work out he's gone soon anyway. I doubt we get him, but Willie should see if there's a chance.

Re: Jalen Hurd
Hurd was a fun player to watch, you just don't see guys who are that big who are as athletic as he is. He'd have a year to get adjusted to the TE position, but he'd have a lot of competition in 2018 for the spot.
I wouldn't expect him to end up here, but it's something to watch...

Remind me besides the kid from Bend and Falo who would be on the TE roster in 2018?DuckedOut wrote:Hurd was a fun player to watch, you just don't see guys who are that big who are as athletic as he is. Breeland, but I'd also expect them to sign at least 1 TE in the 2018 class. That'd be 4 or more scholarship TEs that Hurd would have to compete with.ifuwant2 wrote:Remind me besides the kid from Bend and Falo who would be on the TE roster in 2018?DuckedOut wrote:Hurd was a fun player to watch, you just don't see guys who are that big who are as athletic as he is. Re: Jalen Hurd
There's more to this story. It was the same scheme, same OC in 2015 & 2016 that brought him to prominence. I'm in Tennessee and have a couple of ex-players working for me that are on the inside. They are not big fans. He was upset because he wanted to go pro this year and wasn't as explosive and lacking touches.Duck24 wrote:He transferred because his coach flat out lied to him about his role and how they would use him in the offense. Yes, he's a serious athlete but Falo, Breeland and McCormick show as much upside here. If we had him for 2 years, it would be worth the Prima Dona risk but really don't get the upside unless

Not sure what you mean. You'll have to give me more to work with.damascusduck wrote:Seriously?ifuwant2 wrote:Remind me besides the kid from Bend and Falo who would be on the TE roster in 2018?DuckedOut wrote:Hurd was a fun player to watch, you just don't see guys who are that big who are as athletic as he is. I would like him, but there is some risk. Dude should have just entered the draft.
