Committed player 3* or less who will be a stud: Verdell
Committed player you would have LOVED to flip from a conference rival: Carr
Uncommitted player you HATED to see sign with a conference rival: Falo
Committed player (went elsewhere) offered that you didn't mind missing out on: Gates
Committed player in the class that you're worried will bust: Judson
Committed player that will make an impact the soonest: Retmaier/Lenoir
Nation-wide player with the best chance of being drafted #1 overall some day: Solomon
Overall feelings about the class: We went from 49 to 20 (depending on rankings) from when Taggart took over so I feel pretty good about the final results
Player 3* or less who will be a stud: Darrian Felix, dude had some solid offers. No one is talking about him at all.
Player you would have LOVED to flip from a conference rival: Marlon Tuipulotu, no-brainer.
Player you HATED to see sign with a conference rival: Davis Mills, Stanford is deadly with a good QB, OL, and TE core. They shouldn't miss a beat with Mills.
Player (went elsewhere) offered that you didn't mind missing out on: Jaxson Kirkland
Player in the class that you're worried will bust: Braxton Burmeister, with our QB recruiting lately being all over the place, I could see this one going that way.
Player that will make an impact the soonest: George Moore
Nation-wide player with the best chance of being drafted #1 overall some day: IDK. I'll just go with Mills.
Overall feelings/grade for the class: B+, good have pulled in an extra couple guys to push it over the top. But with everything considered, you really can't complain.
Player 3* or less who will be a stud: Jordon Scott. Good attitude and I see him being a great run stopper in the future.
Player you would have LOVED to flip from a conference rival: Tui.
Player you HATED to see sign with a conference rival: Falo. C'mon man you are gonna be buried under the depth chart for couple of years
Player (went elsewhere) offered that you didn't mind missing out on: Jaxson Kirkland. Wasn't impressed
Player in the class that you're worried will bust: Got 2. Probably Braxton and lowkey Adam Stack. If I have to watch another 30 yard punt I am going to flip out. Adam Stack save us.
Player that will make an impact the soonest: Niu. Our LB's do not impress me or Adam Stack. Please be able to punt the ball farther than 30 yards/
Nation-wide player with the best chance of being drafted #1 overall some day: Phillips from UCLA due to the fascination with dominant pass rush skills or Alex Leatherwood from Bama since he is probably the favorite to take over Cam Robinson.
Overall feelings/grade for the class: Solid B. Really wish we got our DE/OLB Hybrid and TE. Breeland better be ready for a huge role this year.

Player 3* or less who will be a stud: I gotta go with JJ3, love his film. He's a really good possession receiver and you always need one of those on the roster. Not super fast, but you don't have to be when you're as physical as he is and has the hands that he's got.
Player you would have LOVED to flip from a conference rival: Joseph Lewis. I'm telling you, if the old staff has stayed on this guy (or if we had the current staff 6 months ago), then we would've been right there with SC for himy. He would've started day 1 for us IMO.
Player you HATED to see sign with a conference rival: Jaelen Phillips. I don't want to play a guy like him. He's a monster.
Player (went elsewhere) offered that you didn't mind missing out on: Kirkland. Next
Player in the class that you're worried will bust: Judson. If he can't get his weight under control, he will never see the field for us.
Player that will make an impact the soonest: Lenoir or Graham. Both are good enough to either play safety or corner and we have the needs at both positions.
Nation-wide player with the best chance of being drafted #1 overall some day: Foster Sarell
Overall feelings/grade for the class: It's a B+ for me. Guys like Lenoir, Graham, and Redd really made this class. Solid additions anywhere else. Judson is really the only player I don't like, but I'm keeping an open mind with him.
Player 3* or less who will be a stud: Darrian Felix
Player you would have LOVED to flip from a conference rival: Marlon T or Stephen Carr
Player you HATED to see sign with a conference rival: Falo is up there. As is Elijah Molden (although our DB class is so special it's not as big a loss as we thought it'd be initially). Joseph Lewis and both Stanford 5* OL
Player (went elsewhere) offered that you didn't mind missing out on: Kirkland easily
Player in the class that you're worried will bust: Jordon Scott
Player that will make an impact the soonest: Lenoir or Niu
Nation-wide player with the best chance of being drafted #1 overall some day: Marvin Wilson or Alex Leatherwood
Overall feelings/grade for the class: B+. Great job considering what they had to work with (time, crappy situation in general, etc.), but missing on a TE was unacceptable IMO and deserves the knock down to a B level from an A level.
Player 3* or less who will be a stud: Rutger or Popo
Player you would have LOVED to flip from a conference rival: Marlon
Player you HATED to see sign with a conference rival: Falo or Marlon
Player (went elsewhere) offered that you didn't mind missing out on: If everyone's answer isn't Kirkland, something is wrong. I've never read anything good about the kid.
Player in the class that you're worried will bust: I don't know if any of the three star USF guys can be flops, but my money would be on Burch/Judson.
Player that will make an impact the soonest: Definitely defensive side. I'd say either Lenoir or Graham, but our line is so soft that I'd bet it's Rutger or Popo.
Nation-wide player with the best chance of being drafted #1 overall some day: I don't really know guys that aren't west coast for the most part, so I'd probably say one of the Stanford big boys or Marlon.
Overall feelings/grade for the class: B/B-. The new staff did well, but they had some big misses imo. Would be a B+ with either of the TEs we had committed or Falo. Would have been an A with one or two of them and Artis.
Player at your school 3* or less who will be a stud: I'll pick on one defense and one offense.
O: CJ Verdell. Watch his tape. This dude is short, but he's built like a mack truck and he's got wiggle! Had the most all purpose yards in Cali this year. So glad we held onto him. He started looking at UCLA and Nebraska when the new staff started looking at higher-ranked backs. CJ is a perfect fit for what we do. I can see him being a bigger LaMichael.
D: Jordon Scott. He's a former Gator commit who they dropped because of weight issues. He's close to 350, but his first step is damn impressive for someone that size. He plays aggressive and is as strong as an ox. We haven't had someone built like that with that athleticism since Haloti. They just don't grow like that on the west coast. I can see him getting in the rotation right away and becoming a player as long as he keeps his weight under control.
Player you would have LOVED to flip from a conference rival:Jaelan Phillips, obviously. But that wasn't going to happens. He was set on UCLA. I would rather have him there than USC or UW, though.
Player you HATED to see sign with a conference rival:Marlon Tuipulotu. He's a 5* in-state kid in a position of need. How the hell did the old staff let him get away? Our new staff tried but it was just too late. I am happy he flipped from UW to USC, though. Also, 4* DB and in-state legacy Elijah Molden. His dad was a legend here and somehow he chose the hated Fuskies...WTF mate. Old staff was a mess. I do think we got at least 2 CBs (and the recruiting services agree) better than him, though.
Player (went elsewhere) your team offered that you didn't mind missing out on: Ryan Kelley, QB. He committed to us during his junior year and was close to a 5* ranking but he never progressed. He looked terrible at all of camps and all-star games he went to and his team went 2-8. The guy we flipped from Arizona (we did that a lot) last minute is ranked higher and is a better player, IMO.
Player in your team's class that you're worried will bust: Bruce Judson. He's a 4* on at least 2 sites, but his stock has been trending down since his sophomore year when he was the #17 player in his class. Apparently, he had a very serious injury to his quad (or maybe hamstring) that required surgery and that took away some of his explosiveness. Plus, he has a dad bod now. He still runs away from Southern Florida kids but I'm not sure he has a position. He was apparently one of our best recruiters even though he didn't officially commit until the last week. He's best known for being the for being the former OSU commit who Urbz didn't know. lol
Player that will make an impact the soonest: I think Deommodore Lenoir was the best CB on the West Coast and our CBs weren't exactly great last year. He's aggressive, athletic, and is an insanely hard worker. Our returning CBs are experienced (and highly touted out of HS) but haven't been particularly good. I think he gets on the 2 deep and challenges for a starting spot. Same with Thomas Graham who is already on campus.
Nation-wide player with the best chance of being drafted #1 overall some day:Isaiah Wilson. Still considered raw but he's an absolute beast already. Will keep tabs on him to see how he develops. Sky's the limit.
Overall feelings/grade for your class: I'm happy with what the new staff did. We were ranked in the 40s when they got here and finished in the top 20 on all services in 17 "open" recruiting days. That is absolutely great! We had a great defensive class. Really solid at all levels and got some potential difference makers.
We did miss out on a TE and an EDGE player and we really couldn't afford to. Why Josh Falo?! So now we're going to be left scrambling for a grad transfer. A little bit wary of the guys that they flipped from USF, but I'll trust them on this. Plus, we're already using them to our advantage in 2018.
Overall, a very solid B+. If we could have gotten the guys that were projected to come here, but supposedly flipped (our "insiders" aren't good) in last 24 hours, it would have been an all-time great feat. I am very excited to what they do with a full recruiting cycle. We have 4 or 5 better recruiters than any that were on last year's staff.

Scott, just because of weight issues. Could go either way Player that will make an impact the soonest:
Lenoir Nation-wide player with the best chance of being drafted #1 overall some day:
Jaelen Phillips Overall feelings/grade for the class:
B+, missing Falo and Artis really stung, but for the time frame that WT and co. had, really good start
