Re: Tyson Coleman commits
Wait who is he? What is the scoop? Is he a top 150 type player? Top 300? What position will he play...how significant;t is this?
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

"I wasn't raised on Oregon football or anything," Coleman said. "I didn't move to Oregon until the fifth grade. I was actually a USC fan growing up and I was talking to them a lot but I like the campus at Oregon better.
"It's in a little nicer area and I just wasn't feeling USC as much as I was Oregon. Oregon State and Washington had offered too and I was hearing from a host of other schools but I feel pretty locked in with the Ducks right now. I don't think I'll need to take any more official visits, Oregon is the place for me."

Huge commit! Love the in state talent rolling in lately. Hopefully this causes guys like Lyerla, Scarlett, etc to become ducks as well..
Coleman is being recruited as a safety for the ducks. He should be a beast.

I thought that there was an unwritten rule that Safety prospects over 6' have to go somewhere else...

Awesome that he will probably play as a safety but has the skills to move to RB if needed!

By the time he's a freshman, he should be about 220lbs and gaining. As you say He could really be a beast at safety.
