Re: Tyson Coleman commits
Awesome news. Hopefully this is the start of a trend, locking up the few big time propects from Oregon early on.

Always good to keep the little bit of talent Oregon produces in-state (as long as they don't go to Corvallis). I don't know much about the kid, but he sounds pretty big-time.

Re: Tyson Coleman commits

Let's hope Coleman turns out like the guy to his right.
I also love Coleman's build. 6'2" 220-230lbs. Perfect for safety. Add some more muscle and imagine the type of hits he'll be giving in the backfield.

"I know Colt (Lyerla) and Brennan Scarlett pretty well and will be working on them to try and get them to be Ducks along with me. I feel like we are the best players in the state and would love for them to join me in Eugene."
I am really liking this kid!

Yeah I think we got a good one. That'd be a great way to start the 2011 class. Lock up the top 3 in state guys.gofightingducks wrote:http://oregon.rivals.com/content.asp?CI ... &PT=4&PR=2

This brings up a good point. Not only do we get a future stud safety, but we now increase our chances at other top in state recruits.gofightingducks wrote:http://oregon.rivals.com/content.asp?CI ... &PT=4&PR=2

Re: Tyson Coleman commits
He's a cool kid, I was in his class in 5th grade when he went to school on the Lakeridge side of the lake. I went to the Oregon USC game with him when Harper had the pick, but he was cheering for SC. I'm honestly stunned he committed to Oregon, he's always talked about going to USC and his dad's done everything he can to get him looked at. He's really good off the ball, great explosiveness and a great sense for the game. I remember the coaches played him at fullback since he was massive compared to everyone else, and halfway through the year our starting running back was out with some injury and the second play he busted out a 60+ yard touchdown run. He came over to the sideline and I thought he was gonna pass out haha. I'm sure he'll fit right in.
