With USC back in business, they're going to be tough to beat on the recruiting trail.

USC always pulls in top tier talent, even when they were down they still were, it's nothing new. We will more than likely never beat them on the recruiting trail as far as rankings go, but we've handled our business against them the last few years (minus last year) with less star talent. As long as we can stay close behind them, we'll be fine.

When have they not been tough on the recruiting trail?

When have they not been tough on the recruiting trail?
I think when they were going through their sanctions and had scholarship restrictions.

Even then they were still pulling quality over quantity.

This loss stings a lot! Coach Joe WILL find us another STUD to help fill that void. We won't be facing them for the next coupe seasons....unless it's for the PAC-12 Championship, and I see that happening sooner than later. Look forward to seeing how our Cristobal O-line matches up against that Trojan D-line....can't wait!

When's the last time SC didn't have a top 15 class? Generally we only can beat them out for 1-2 guys a year, we aren't going to make a living going head to head with SC for our class.
