Kristaps Porziņģis B- C+ D B- B- A
It’s not easy to find a legit 7-footer with great length and high level athleticism. If you consider how well he runs the floor and his skill level then you can understand why Porzingis is considered one of the most intriguing players in the draft. A high level shooter with deep range. Ideal qualities to be a pick and pop stretch 4. Porzingis size makes it hard for guards to score inside the paint. Covers a lot of ground and will need to bulk up to become an elite defender. Good rebounder. Soid passer. Amazing potential.
Jabari Parker B+ C+ C C+ C A
Had some impressive dunks over his career at Duke. After winning the NCAA championship with his fellow teammates Jones and Okafor, Parker decided to take his game to the next step. A scoring machine. Very strong forward who may need to move to small forward. Good rebounder. An underrated athlete who can over power his opponents to get to the rim. Defensively, he has some red flags. Scouts feel Parker will need to work on his speed and stamina to become an elite player. Great potential.
Bobby Portis C+ C D C+ C+ A
Continues to improve upon his range which is a positive but really needs to develop a post game to be an effective player at the next level. Good, but not great athlete. Fundamentally sound player but lacks explosiveness. Doesn't have great body control and needs to work on his footwork around the basket. Still young with time to improve over time. Great potential.
Trey Lyles B- C+ C- B B- C
Lyles may never be a star in the league but he will be a contributor on any team. Does the little things well and hustles. Fundamentally sound. Sets solid screens for teammates. Versatile and a do-it-all player. Can score from numerous spots on the floor. Smooth offensive game. Very skilled player on offense. Good outside shooter. Good rebounder. Soid shot blocker. Limited potential
Larry Nance, Jr. B- C C- C+ C+ B
Excells in transition opportunities. Has the ability to run up and down the court and with his athleticism. His jumping abilities give him an edge on most defenders. Moves very well on defense, very active. Can stick with face-up forwards. Contains the ball well in pick and roll situations and finishes with explosive dunks. Good potential
Rakeem Christmas C C C- B C+ C
Very strong and sound defensively in the post. Above average rebounder and thats it. Rakeem can carve out minutes right now with his strong defense and dirty work.
Montrezl Harrell C C C- B- C+ A
Brandon Ashley C C+ C C+ C B
New age post player who would rather drain shots outside than paint than beat and bang inside. Above average strength and quickness with solid fundementals on defense. Good potential
Cliff Alexander C+ D+ C- C+ C B
As with many other players in this class, Cliff could have used another year in college to grow physically and mature. Thats not to say, he will need 2-3 years like others to be able to provide something. Classic PF who works around and inside the paint. Very good potential.
Aaron White C- C D- C C+ A
Greater force on defense than offensively. Above average rebounder with room to grow into a solid rotation piece on a team looking for someone to do the dirty work without taking shots away from the scorers.
