2011 CB likes Oregon

One of the top defensive backs on the West Coast in the Class of 2011 is cornerback Myan Tave (Carson, Calif..Carson). After transferring from nearby Serra (Gardena, Calif.), Tave has made an immediate impact for the Colts.

The 6-foot-0, 170-pounder has the size and athleticism colleges covet.

"When I was really young, playing in Pop Warner, Carson was the school I always watched and rooted for," Tave said. "Carson is just the best place for me and where I fit in the best and I've been very happy there this year."

On the recruiting front, Tave said he's hearing from a handful of schools and has some early favorites at the moment.

"Most of the West Coast schools are showing interest but Oregon is recruiting me the hardest," Tave said. "They're writing me all the time and seem the most interested but hopefully things will pick up for me after the season.

"Right now, I like Oregon, Cal, UCLA, USC, LSU and Oklahoma State. I've always liked UCLA growing up and I'm trying to get to their game against Cal this weekend. I haven't been to any UCLA or USC games yet this year but hopefully I'll be able to make some later on."
