Says he plans on taking an unofficial for the USC game on Halloween and plans on visiting UCLA Nov. 7th, Florida Nov. 24th and Nebraska and USC after the season.

Translation...

NO official for us? Doesn't sound great for our chances if that's the case...

why would he waste an official on us when he could pay for gas and drive here.... smart thing to do use use an official on a place far away that way its free. doesn't matter if he uses an official or unofficial on us we still have the same chance with him.

Exactly. Owa is genuinely interested in Oregon. But with Oregon so close, why would he use an official on us? He'd probably rather save those for longer trips.

I guess I was under the impression that the experience on an official visit is different than on an unofficial.

Maybe I'm wrong, and in this case I'd love to be, but to my knowledge the contact w/ players and coaches is more limited and an unofficial isn't treated as "specially" as officials...

Like I said, hopefully I'm wrong.

I'm not saying this isn't true. But I think owa has a pretty good feel for U of O and just because he isn't making an official visit to Oregon, doesn't mean we are out of it.
