Re: Keenan Allen news
I can see it now...
"Hey Keenan!
Look at this great pic of me with the Duck Cheerleaders! And here's one with Paysinger and NMathews!
And look at this one!... Man, it's great being out here where I can hang your favorite team every week if I want to!
Wouldn't you like to be here, too?
BTW... How's the humidity?
Go Ducks!!!"

But what would you rather have: humidity where you can breath and move in or humidity where you can barely move and feels like you are burning up.sx1080 wrote:BTW... How's the humidity?

I double here ya, I was just saying. KA would be huge, but it looks dim. I would rather have Colt and Brennan.. Early commits would be huge.

Know what hurts? We can't even hate on his choice. With as well Alabama is playing and how highly ranked they are, you can't blame him too much. Still hurts just a little though...but definitely not the end of the world.
At least it's not Tennessee!

You mean you can't hate on is dad's choice. Keenan has said he favors Oregon but his dad is all Alabama. Most kids want to make their parents happy and if that means going to the school of their parents choice for whatever reason, usually because it is close to home then they will usually go with their parent's wishes.

Re: Keenan Allen news
There's realy no way that we know this to be 100% fact. Keenan probably likes Alabama quite a bit and his family wishes push him over the top. I was hoping that King would commit soon so that Keenan would have just one more reason to change his mind.gofightingducks wrote:freedjr wrote:Know what hurts? We can't even hate on his choice. Re: Keenan Allen news
Some kids are really close to their parents. I also can't hate on him for wanting to make his dad to be happy. I would hope he makes up his own mind, but after 18 years of following his parents, can you really blame him for doing it for his dad? That's kind of how I feel about all recruits who follow what their parents want them to do.
Obviously every situation is different (I was never close to my parents) but I did take a few other mentors consideration into serious account when I chose a college. And my future didn't hinge on it nearly as much as his did.
You would hope his dad would tell him to do what his heart tells him to, but even if Alabama and Oregon were close, why wouldn't his dad be the tiebreaker?

Seriously, had I had the opportunity to play college football, Dad would have croaked if I had chosen Oregon... He absolutely detested the Ducks (Probably because he played D for the Beavs around the start of WWII).
OS would have been his first choice, 2nd choice being any school in the country besides Oregon.
It wouldn't have been the first time I disappointed him

My dad played for the Huskies in the Don James era and I'm still a Ducks fan. I didn't grow up with him around though, I grew up in Oregon, and all my friends went to Oregon. That's why I'm a Duck.DmoneyDuck wrote:Your pops played football for the Beavs and you are still a die hard Duck fan...do tell how that happened!

Re: Keenan Allen news
Dad (Actually, my stepfather, from the time I was 3) was 6'2", 265 lbs... And no, that didn't contribute to the injuries, even though he was one of the 2 or 3 strongest men I have ever known, until he got ill.
When he passed away, after 20 years of congestive heart failure, diabetes, and nearly 10 years of dialysis (It was rare for anyone to survive 5 years in those days.), he was still about 215 lbs, with a 56" chest. I used to give him a raft of s**t because he was so hairy, he reminded me more of a bear than a Beaver. Especially when he snored... Shook the whole house!
